Friday, May 15, 2015

KU librarian Geoff Husic was recently promoted to editor of the Slavic language journal team for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Husic serves as part of an international network of hand-selected volunteers helping DOAJ to assess new applications for journals to ensure they meet DOAJ’s rigorous guidelines for quality, openness and transparency.

Husic joined the DOAJ in 2014 as an associate editor. He is part of a growing number of scholars and librarians at the University of Kansas who are supporting innovations and advocacy efforts to build a healthy system of scholarly publishing with an emphasis on “open.”
