Happy 1st Anniversary, COAPI!

Sunday, June 24, 2012

On July 19th, 2011, an initial group of 21 universities with open access policies met by phone conference to discuss the establishment of the Coalition. Since that time the Coalition of Open Access Policy Institutions has grown to 46 universities and research centers in North America, at the time of this writing.

A brief summary of activities and accomplishments outlines the success and growth during its first year. Highlights include COAPI's January 2012 response to the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy's Request for Information, and COAPI's June 13, 2012 letter to members of Congress submitted in support of FRPAA.
